häwa Reaches CO₂ Reduction Target Ten Years Ahead of Schedule – Sustainability Takes Center Stage at SPS 2026

 This progress was made possible, among other things, by a new, highly efficient powder coating system that has nearly halved primary energy consumption, as well as by the use of local district heating from the neighboring Baur wood processing plant, which saves häwa approximately 1.3 million kWh of gas annually.

“Ten years ahead of schedule—that’s quite an achievement. It shows that if you approach things consistently, you can go further than you initially think. And our customers benefit directly from this when they need to demonstrate their own carbon footprint,” says Rainer Bühler, Head of Sales at häwa.

From November 24 to 26, 2026, häwa will be exhibiting at SPS (Smart Production Solutions) in Nuremberg, Hall 3C, Booth 141. In addition to the CO₂ theme, the company will showcase its X-frame cell and a cooling unit solution using natural refrigerants at the booth as practical examples of its sustainability strategy.
