To ensure maximum safety, cobots are equipped with special sensors that stop working immediately if a human gets too close. Therefore, unlike a robot, a cobot does not require a protective enclosure. Cobot table frames from häwa have what refer to as a functional frame, the X-frame machine frame. This is renowned for its high functionality. The necessary cable routing and cable separation can be installed directly within the frame. This means that additional cable ducts are unnecessary, and switching cabinets and housings are also integrated into the machine frames. The functional frame also has storage space for accommodating electrical and pneumatic components, which are installed in separate areas. This design provides additional safety, and the external flaps of the X-frame struts also allow quick access to the cobot workstation for servicing.
